Cardens sponsors the Brighton and Hove Annual Art Show 2021

Cardens is proud to sponsor the Annual Art Show 2021, organised by the Brighton and Hove Arts Council. More than 120 pictures will be showcased by dozens of local artists, alongside sculptures and embroidery at The Friends’ Meeting House in Brighton.

Annual Art Show details:

This will be one of the first opportunities for artists to celebrate pieces completed since the start of the first lockdown in early 2020.

Art groups taking part include, Dupont Art Club, Adur Art Collective, Brighton Embroidery Group, Society of Sussex Painters, Sculptors and Printmakers, St.Thomas More Art Group, The Society of Catholic Artists, Attic Art Club, Peacehaven Art Club and Rottingdean Art Club.

The free event will run from 21st to 24th July: 10am-5pm Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and 10am-4pm on the Saturday. All artwork displayed is for sale to the public.

About the Brighton and Hove Arts Council

Brighton & Hove Arts Council has been in operation since 1974. It publishes Arts Diary and arranges an annual drama competition and a Sussex wide poetry festival and competition.

Jane Osler, Chair Brighton & Hove Arts Council says: “We had to cancel last year’s art show due to COVID so we are so pleased after such a difficult year to be able to offer our member art groups the chance to display their art work in the centre of Brighton.”
